Step by Step

The Admissions Process

1

Submit a Referral or Contact Us

Complete our online referral form, call us at 757-383-9992 or fax over a referral form to 757-799-1399. We welcome referrals from parents, guardians, schools, hospitals, courts, social workers, therapists, physicians, and community providers.

2

Initial Screening

Our clinical team will conduct an initial phone screening to gather basic information and determine whether a full assessment is appropriate.

3

Clinical Assessment

A comprehensive clinical assessment is conducted using ASAM criteria to determine the appropriate level of care and develop an individualized treatment plan.

4

Insurance Verification & Authorization

Our team will verify insurance benefits and obtain the necessary authorizations before services begin. We will communicate clearly about coverage, costs, and any out-of-pocket responsibilities.

5

Enrollment & Orientation

Once authorized, the adolescent and family will complete enrollment paperwork and attend an orientation to prepare for their first day in the program.

6

Begin Treatment

The adolescent begins attending the Pathway to Recovery program according to their individualized schedule. The treatment team monitors progress and adjusts the plan as needed.
